• Fiona believes that maintaining an effective voluntary party is critical to Conservative future success. It is through the volunteers that the Conservative Party reaches every section of society in every part of the country
• It is essential that volunteers' views are sought, heard and taken properly into account. During the past year she has been working with a group to reinvigorate the Conservative Policy Forum
• In the General election which will take place this year, we need to reach out to everyone in society, whether committed Conservative or not, to seek their support
• We need to ensure that people who give so much to the voluntary party are properly appreciated and thanked for what they do
