"Last year I had the honour of being elected as a Vice President of the National Conservative Convention. During this past year I have worked hard to represent the views of the voluntary party across the country and I am standing again because I would much like to continue this work during the coming year. This is going to be a momentous year for the Conservative Party and it is vital that we win the General Election. The voluntary party has a critical role to play and we will only win if we all work hard together."

Fiona Hodgson is standing again for the position of Vice President of the National Conservative Convention. She has been active in the political world for over 20 years and since 1992 has been a member of the Conservative Women's National Council (CWNC), now the Conservative Women's Organisation (CWO).

Fiona is a member of the Conservative Human Rights Commission and is chairing a working group to produce a report on "Supporting Women Human Rights Defenders" to identify what more the UK Government can do to support women human rights defenders around the world.

From 2005 to 2008, Fiona was Chairman of the CWO and is currently President of the organisation. She continues to help run the CWO Muslim Group set up in 2006.

Fiona has many links with people in the party, including volunteers across the country, MPs, MEPs and members of the House of Lords.
